The Water Mill is a lively ragtime piece whose steady left-hand beat mimics the sound of water cascading down into the buckets of a watermill. The wooden waterwheel slowly scoops water from the river upstream, and at each turn of the buckets, the water comes splashing down into the lower parts of the river.

This nostalgic ragtime piece takes you out into the countryside, where you can see mossy rocks, water mills and riverside banks covered in beautiful autumn foliage.
