“Steam Express” is a lively ragtime piece that takes you back into the steam train era, when you could see locomotives huffing and puffing steam into the sky.

Picture a historic train chugging along through the lush countryside, approaching you from a distance. While you can barely make out its silhouette behind a dense cloud of steam, you can already hear the clattering of the wheels and the roar of the engine.

As it comes closer, the size of the beast comes into view. You can now see the bombastic locomotive at the front, with carriages stretching for miles and miles into the distance. With each second, the train comes closer and closer. Right when it is beside you, the ground starts to shake at the thundering sound of the train. The engineer toots its horn, and a few seconds later, the train has passed you, vanishing into the distance – yet again.
